I dont care what the weatherman says.....

It was Tracey's first day back to work today - I think she made it snow on account of her stress levels. It didn't snow enough to prevent us from getting to work though.

I have spent most of the day developing custom Plone templates for the new extranet. I decided to create a prototype in Fireworks and then build the CSS. I need to learn DTML so I can grab some site properties from zope and render them in the css.

Cole has spent all day with his Grandma today for the first time.
Here he is looking suprised when we returned from work. He always looks suprised, should be useful in later years when recieving dodgy jumpers from relatives.

Cool hand Chris

Diddy checking out his pair

I'm no good at poker............. was the lesson I learned on Saturday night courtesy of the Diddy casino in Blyth. After spending 30 mins reading hints and tips on Texas Hold Em poker I was certain that my financial troubles were over and a beautifull career in professional gambling was about to begin.

We began by having a couple of practice rounds where we placed our cards face up so the beginners could all get the hang of the game - lady luck would have me win both of these rounds - a taster of things to come? More like a pre-emptive consolation as the remainder of the night I watched my casino credit punge into the negatives. I did manage however to win one hand after going head to head with Steven "The Chancellor" cleaning up a reasonable pot with an impressive straight.

The worm was turning, I was off the blocks, and I'd avenged the prior river card bluff that the Chancellor pulled off leaving me with enough chips to buy some space raiders. This was not a winning streak - it was a one off, a freak occurance. James Beam came to the table after midnight and the stakes doubled with our vision.

The Bolsover Picasso

After 12 months of having a bedroom that was themed for a 7 year old england footy fanatic, I was eventually inspired to redecorate the spare room. The deep blue walls were the most difficult to cover - it took 3 coats and I can still see the blue!! I have a feeling the room will be several inches smaller by the time i have managed to cover it.

And I'm done

As a web developer I find it ironic that it has taken me so long to create a blog. How odd.

I think this is the third blog i have registered, this time I was inspired by my friend roppa
